Most of my previous works were clothes carved out of marble, by which I aimed to examine the conflicts of the individual and the society, the border between idiosyncratic and collective. My purpose was to investigate the social parallels between different identities and situations. This conceptual approach is still characteristic of my sculpting, as I find it important to stimulate questions in the viewer. The basis for this may be the explicit ambivalence between a title and a carved object, or the reason behind creating that specific work of art. By my recent works, I intend to emphasize the online processes of society that generate intensified stimuli, and to represent the pursuit of the ’hyped’ but short-lived goods. Lately I have been interested in finding out how collective customs have changed and how they define today’s society.
