STATEMENT

My sculpting is characterised by a kind of intellectual approach, because for me it is important that my work triggers questions in the viewers. The subject of these questions can be conscious ambivalence between the titles and the sculpted objects or reason behind the depiction. In my new series I am dealing with real – tangible- wires and connectors carved in marble. I am trying to change the traditional interpretation of marble loaded with an eloquent, exclusive character by inserting everyday objects. This form and content based context whereby I place the material is becoming more and more essential for me. This is how can clothing items carved in marble, stretched canvasses, wooden crosses tied with wires, extruded corn flakes placed in bags or connections of colourful air hoses can be created…
